A gently falling site offers opportunity to work with the natural topography so that simple, low, and stretching forms settle into the hill side. There is a balance in composition between solid grounded elements contrasted with finer lighter shade structures.

In response to the brief, the residence will adopt an extended dwelling arrangement. This design allows the house to operate as a unified living space, yet it possesses the flexibility to function independently when necessary.
